AMSI and Dubai Municipality signed an agreement to integrate hands-on heritage learning in its schools’ curriculum with the support of the Dubai Museum.

The signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud, Director of Urban Heritage and Archeology Department, and Mr. Omar Hatoum, Principal of Al Mawakeb – Al Garhoud.

The program will see AMSI students exploring Saruq Al-Hadid – ‘the Way of Iron’ – a remote desert site, of international significance, that was a center for metalworking some three thousand years ago. Geographically, Saruq Al-Hadid was at the crossroads of sea and land routes between some of the most influential civilizations of the time. As one of the leading school management companies in the region, AMSI and its schools are keen to introduce students to the UAE history and heritage, with the support of the Dubai Museum.
