The academic honor system is applicable to students in Gr. 7-12. Students, who fulfill the honor roll criteria, are presented with academic awards during the award ceremony held the following year in the school. One of our AMSI alumni presents the awards and addresses the students in hopes to inspire them, so that they too can make a difference in future students’ lives.
There are two facets to this process, academic and non-academic. Students who show exemplary achievements in all fields are recognized and awarded at different times during and throughout the academic year.
During the ceremony, we also honor a select group of high achieving students who have gone that extra mile to be extraordinary, with partial scholarships and honors.
We use the following award recognition scheme to recognize the achievements of students:

- French may/may not be dropped
- Grades under C- not allowed in all subjects
High Honor HH
- Average is ≥ 90 % and less than 93% (G7-10 + G11-12 with no AP courses)
- Average is ≥ 89% and less than 92% (G11-12 with 1 AP course)
- Average is ≥ 88% and less than 91% (G11-12 with 2 or more AP courses)
- Conduct (Behavioral) points < 15 points French may NOT be dropped
- Grades under C- not allowed in all subjects
Higher Honor HRH
- Average is ≥ 93% and less than 97% (G7-10 + G11-12 with no AP courses)
- Average is ≥ 92% and less than 96% (G11-12 with 1 AP course)

Highest Honor HSH
- Average is ≥ 97% or above (G7-10 +G11-12 with no AP courses)
- Average is ≥ 96% or above (G11-12 with 1 AP course)
- Average is ≥ 95% or above (G11-12 with 2 or more AP courses)
- Conduct (Behavioral) points < 15 points
- French may NOT be dropped
