Dear Al Mawakeb Al Garhoud parents, students, and staff,
Welcome Back! To our new members who joined us this year, I welcome you to our family. I hope you had a wonderful summer and that you are prepared for the start of this new and promising academic year. I am so delighted that you are part of our remarkable learning community… a community I have had the privilege to be a part of for the past twenty-nine years, fifteen of which I have spent leading the school.
Our Valued Parents,
I look forward to working with you and your children. I am honored to work in partnership with you to promote every child’s development and success. Our joint effort and our partnership are the pillars of our school community, and together we balance the scale. I highly value our positive communication, which is, and shall continue to be, based on trust and respect.
For this academic year, we will continue to enhance our academic programs with activities that target building the critical thinking and the independent learning skills of our children. Our curriculum has been enriched with a wide range of extracurricular activities that are aligned with the school’s vision, mission, and core values. We will also continue our journey to become a fully inclusive school, which respects, accepts, and embraces the differences among learners. It is our priority to ensure they are catered for to be able to achieve their full potential. This is at the core of our mission as educators, and we shall remain dedicated towards achieving it.
Our dear students,
As school life gradually returns to normal, I want to ensure you that your safety and wellbeing will continue to be our goal this year. We want you to be happy and feel safe and respected in your school. We will work with you with a promise that we will continue to challenge you not only to reach academic excellence but also to develop skills that will allow you to become risk takers and lifelong learners. I always take pride when I hear of our alumni’s success in their communities, and I look forward to seeing you among them in the future.
Our distinguished teachers,
At Al Mawakeb, we take pride in serving a diverse community. We have over 65 different nationalities, which reflect the great country we live in. I am certain that you aim to empower and motivate every member of our community to achieve our school’s shared vision and core values. With high morale and our core values as our beacons, together, we will continue to work with the wider community to provide learners with countless opportunities that will not only develop them academically but also allow them to grow personally and socially to enhance their success and celebrate their achievements.
To my amazing school community,
I am privileged to serve as your school principal. I know that because of our mutual commitment to excellence, we will make this school year one filled with growth and achievement for all the students in our school.
My best regards,
Omar Hatoum
